DIANA KAZAKOVA (also known as Dolly Dreams) is from Vancouver and lives in New York City. As a performer and producer, she has worked at many of the top venues in New York, Los Angeles, Toronto and Vancouver.
Recently, Diana performed on the mainstage aboard The Norwegian Pearl with the Indigo Girls in the Grammy Festival at Sea concert series, and with Enya on Live with Kelly & Michael on ABC. She has toured North America as a solo folk/cabaret artist and has performed with The Canadian Tenors, the touring cast of the Lion King, Sandra Bernhard, and numerous other Broadway singers and musicians. As the founding lead singer of The Bjorkestra, (an 18 piece big band reinterpretation of Bjork’ s music), she has played to sold out shows in New York and all along the east coast.
Diana has been in over a dozen musicals and plays, including Godspell, Jesus Christ Superstar, The King and I, You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown, Snow White, Street Scene, and many more. Her comedy series – Dreams and Stardust, won multiple film festival awards, and the mockumentary short film Bird Grabbing was seen by over a million people on Frontier Airlines inflight showcase. She has performed on the main stage at Second City in Toronto, and Diana is the voice of countless commercials and documentaries on radio and television.
Diana works annually on the charity gala ‘ A Great Night in Harlem’ at The Apollo Theatre in New York City: which has featured Keith Richards, Bono, John Mayer, Questlove, Paul Shaffer, Nora Jones, Herbie Hancock, Al Jarreau, Chaka Khan, Macy Gray, Chevy Chase, Wyclef Jean, Savion Glover, T Bone Burnett, and many others. Musical Direction by Steve Jordan. Diana also co-produced a documentary for the Jazz Foundation of America featuring Quincy Jones.
Diana is recording an album entitled WILD CARD with Ben Smith, (Heart), Peter Stroud, (Sheryl Crow/Sarah McLachlan), Richard Hammond (Hamilton/Joan Osborne) along with many additional inspiring players from across the continent, including members of the infamous Yacht Rock Revue.
